  • Dancehall fever: Although we wouldn’t go so far as to call Rihanna a “Reggae artist,” one can’t help but notice that Dancehall music is continuing to explode onto the pop chart scene.
  • Batty business: Speaking of Dancehall, the gays have convinced Clear Channel and Power 105 not to broadcast Reggae Carifest because Buju Banton and Bounty Killer are part of the long line-up of artists, and they continue to sing anti-gay lyrics in their tunes.
  • Saigon was ambushed: Saigon’s attorney blasted the NYPD and their “Hip Hop Squad” for deliberately targeting the rapper, and arresting and charging him with possession of knife, meanwhile, the knife was actually found in the car and not on the rapper.
  • Diddy’s departure: The rap mogul tried to pull a David Chase ending for the final episode of “Making the Band 4,” but it just left contestants scratching their heads. According to Diddy, “To me, it was like one of those cliffhangers. I wouldn’t say it was as good or as bad as the ‘Sopranos’ one, but it definitely was like you were on the edge of your seat.”
